Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.
Ensure you are knowledgeable of all spa services, products and treatments so that you can train spa therapists under your control.
Ensure spa team members are aware of company health and safety procedures; making sure you report any observed safety issues or accidents to spa management.
Team Management
Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of fitness instructors, personal trainers, and support staff, ensuring that all staff are performing their duties efficiently and professionally.
Schedule Management: Create and manage work schedules for fitness staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours, holidays, and special events.
Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the fitness team, ensuring they stay up-to-date with industry standards, certifications, and new fitness trends.
Team Motivation: Motivate and encourage team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. Help resolve any conflicts or issues within the team.
Operations Management
Facility Maintenance: Oversee the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the fitness center. Ensure that gym equipment is in good working order and coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs or upgrades.
Equipment and Inventory Management: Monitor the condition of fitness equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained and replaced when necessary. Track inventory of fitness-related supplies (e.g., towels, cleaning products, etc.).
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all fitness center operations comply with health, safety, and wellness regulations. Implement safety protocols, such as proper equipment use and emergency procedures.
Security: Ensure that the fitness center is secure, with controlled access and monitoring of the premises to prevent any accidents or unauthorized usage.
Customer Service and Member Engagement
Member Interaction: Greet and engage with members and guests, ensuring a positive experience in the fitness center. Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Guest Assistance: Provide fitness-related advice, answer inquiries about gym programs, equipment usage, and other services.
