Job Description

Maternity Cover Fixed term up to 12 months from March 2025.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to join the revolution of change and be a part of the future of sustainability! Were looking for a creative innovative experienced and handson professional to take the wheel. They will be responsible for driving Polestar UK marketing and events strategy activation plans as well as retail experience execution working closely with our Polestar Spaces.


Let us describe the challenge we offer

This is an exciting and varied role incorporating marketing events and retail experience. The Polestar Head of Marketing will be the primary point of contact for all marketing and event activities relating to the brand in the UK market. You will work in close collaboration with all other departments in the UK marketing teams in other markets and Global HQ offices to ensure brand consistency and execute new initiatives and programmes in line with our global marketing strategy. You will be responsible for successful product launches strengthening brand awareness and consideration of the Polestar brand within the market and the national test drive activation.

You will need to possess a strategic mindset a positive resultsorientated attitude with an enterprising spirit who relishes the innovative and new be prepared to challenge and push boundaries to establish best practices and ensure successful executions. You will need to have strong analytical skills and have experience leading teams and working with multiple stakeholders from different departments and markets.

This role will be based in our Bicester HQ and will report directly to the Managing Director of Polestar UK.


The Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Continue to grow the Polestar brand in the UK and drive brand awareness consideration and relevance amongst the target audiences.
  • Build the UK marketing events and retail experience strategy implementation roadmap and KPI setting.
  • Work closely with Global HQ to understand strategic initiatives both globally and regionally.
  • Leverage and localise the strategies guidelines and content from our global HQ to drive scalable and efficient marketing for the UK market.
  • Drive digitalfirst consumercentric approach across all aspects of the business together with Global teams and stakeholders.
  • Set the brand direction and align with Polestar Space partners to secure communication plans and activations are in place and according to strategy and guidelines.

Activation & Campaigns

  • Plan manage and launch marketing plans in all channels (e.g. website CRM social media campaigns retail marketing events partnerships).
  • Responsible for local marketing budget planning preparation and continual tracking and performance analysis to ensure efficient ROI.
  • Accountable for financial and budget development and management brand performance and reporting (paired with KPI framework to deliver campaign attribution/ROI measurement)
  • Stay up to date with marketing trends and developments.
  • Sustain a performance measurement framework across key platforms to drive sustainable growth and continuous improvement.
  • Develop specific brand and tactical campaigns to create and maintain high levels of customer interest ultimately driving consumer conversion.
  • Manage new product launches.
  • Initiate develop and ensure full execution of the marketing and events strategy.
  • Lead and support Polestar Retail Partners on their annual and quarterly marketing plan and executions ensuring alignment to the national brand strategy brand guidelines and toolkits.
  • Manage and coordinate with our external agency partners.
  • Deliver exemplary customer experience across all brand touchpoints and build and launch new tools mystery shopping and customer loyalty programmes.
  • Oversee all owned and paid channels including CRM website and social media channels alongside working closely with PR team to unlock earned media opportunities.
  • Lead and develop the content creator talent brand partnership and product placement strategy and execution for the UK market continuously testing and optimising plans and performance.
  • Involvement and leadership in various crossfunctional regional and global projects to ensure the UK market needs are carefully positioned and considered.
  • Explore and implement best in class practices.
  • Manage and present regular performance updates and reporting at various forums.

People

  • Lead agency partner relationships to drive the innovative thoughtful work that meets overall objectives.
  • Strong collaboration and coordination with Global and external partners including Polestar Retail Investors.
  • Team management coaching and development.


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who is deeply committed to sustainability and the advancement of electric vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and will be comfortable working with CLevel leadership across the organisation.

You will be highly motivated and enthusiastic about developing the Polestar brand. Your strong interpersonal skills will be essential as you will foster a collaborative ethos and effectively interact with and influence a diverse group of people.

In addition you will need the following skills/experience:

  • Significant experience in senior marketing level roles leading strategic decisions.
  • Experience working in a multimarket global organisation.
  • Must be passionate and enthusiastic about sustainability and electric vehicles.
  • Strong and proven leadership experience and knowledge in marketing management communication channels and brand building.
  • High degree of selfmotivation productivity a positive proactive mindset and great attention to detail are essential.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Project management and multitasking skills; ability to effectively manage project tasks timelines and communications.
