We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef De Partie specializing in South Indian Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru India. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes maintaining high standards of food quality and contributing to menu development.
- Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes with precision and consistency
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality taste and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work station adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development incorporating traditional and innovative South Indian culinary techniques
- Manage and train junior kitchen staff in South Indian cuisine preparation
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service operations
- Monitor and control food costs minimizing waste while maintaining quality
- Assist the Head Chef in inventory management and ordering supplies
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu improvements and operational efficiency
Qualifications :
- Proven experience (35 years) as a Chef De Partie or similar role specializing in South Indian cuisine
- Indepth knowledge of South Indian ingredients spices and cooking techniques
- Proficiency in using various kitchen equipment and utensils specific to South Indian cooking
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced highpressure environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Creativity and passion for South Indian culinary arts
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts (preferred)
- Valid Food Safety Certification
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
