We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our culinary team in Mumbai India. As the secondincommand in our kitchen you will work closely with the Executive Chef to create exceptional dining experiences that showcase the rich flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning recipe development and kitchen operations
- Oversee daily food preparation and cooking activities ensuring highquality standards and consistency
- Train supervise and mentor kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Manage inventory place orders and control food costs while maintaining quality
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean organized kitchen
- Collaborate with the frontofhouse team to enhance customer satisfaction and address any concerns
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for all dishes
- Contribute innovative ideas to improve menu offerings and kitchen processes
- Participate in menu tastings and special events as needed
- Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary managing all kitchen operations
Qualifications :
- Minimum 23 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar senior kitchen role preferably in Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of Indian culinary techniques regional flavors and traditional recipes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen team
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Hindi or other local languages is a plus
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution (preferred)
- Uptodate food safety and hygiene certification
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced highpressure environment
- Creativity and innovation in menu development and food presentation
- Familiarity with local ingredients and Mumbais culinary scene
