Job Description
Our clients company a building materials distributor is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to oversee the operations function for the distribution warehouse. This key role involves managing warehouse operations ensuring efficiency in receiving inspecting picking packing and shipping products.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in improving performance and maintaining high standards within the warehouse environment. This position offers a competitive salary range of $80K $90K annually DOE.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all operations within the distribution warehouse
- Work closely with the branch management team to ensure accurate and efficient shipping receiving and material processing
- Maintain and document safety programs company policies and procedures
- Recruit train and evaluate operations personnel
- Collaborate with the management team to maintain an accurate and wellorganized inventory
- Plan and implement storage layout of inventory
- Develop a comprehensive succession plan for operations personnel
- Contribute to the development of the annual business plan
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and adapt to changes during employment
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years experience managing and supervising in an industrial distribution environment
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing individuals and teams
- Ability to provide innovative solutions and make strategic decisions
- Collaborative detailoriented leader with a focus on quality work
- Competitive drive to achieve highquality organized results
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt quickly to changing conditions
- Proficiency in English (reading writing speaking and understanding) Abilities:
- Capable of lifting carrying pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds
- Able to stoop kneel crouch or crawl occasionally
- Comfortable sitting walking or moving around for extended periods
