Job Summary
Our client is seeking an AV Design Engineer based in Calgary. This individual will be responsible for preparing detailed documentation for installation teams working on various audiovisual and control system projects including video walls large sound systems performance lighting and control systems.

What you bring to the team:
- 5 years of experience in audiovisual roles (paid or volunteer).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
- Experience with DTools System Integrator.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD LT is an asset.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
- A commitment to continuous learning.
Requirements
- Produce detailed drawings such as AV schematics elevations rack layouts conduit risers and more.
- Communicate project updates and concerns with stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing project requirements.
- Maintain an organized file system for documentation.
- Create asbuilt drawings from redlined documents.
- Participate in weekly team meetings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
- Pass security clearance as required.
Requirements: University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting. Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and/or communications environment. Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading. Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager. CTS-I Certification Preferred
Education
University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting. CTS-I Certification Preferred
