Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the Chef de Partie.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene safety and cleanliness in your section.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and to the required specifications.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Chef de Partie.
- Train and guide commis chefs and junior team members.
- Contribute to menu development and provide input on new recipes.
- Handle equipment and tools safely ensuring proper maintenance.
Requirements:
- Culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a similar role or kitchen setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for food quality and presentation.
Skills:
- Expertise in a specific kitchen section (e.g. sauces pastries grill).
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
