The Role:
Working as a marketing product owner within the Marketing insights data and tech team this role is part of the greater Global Marketing Team. This role will help to shape the strategic vision for the use of technology and data within marketing. The main function of this role is to work across marketing to define and enable the technology needs of the marketing organization. This individual will work with leadership to define the strategy and enable that strategy through technology.
- Working with teams across all of marketing to determine their needs to run and grow the business
- Guide marketing teams to achieve their business goals and enable these through effective use of technology
- Supporting various marketing teams by defining strategic and user requirements helping to elicit process flow maps and assisting with development and execution of insights that help run the business.
- Establishment and ongoing use of processes templates and tools used to be used by the product owner team to communicate with the various stakeholders
- Collaborating with technical development teams to help translate user requirements into system functionality and assist with testing.
- Working with the Change Management/Communications team to define change strategies and metrics to measure defined results assist in developing key training documentation and communication messages for release.
- Administer trainings on the tools and foster proper usage through communications and information sessions
- Administering marketing platforms including but limited to adding and removing users
- ‘Vendor management for various marketing platforms
- Advancing the use of technologies that will enable the teams across marketing
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 10 years field business analysis experience
- 5 years marketing experience
- 5 years collecting business needs and translating requirements to a technical audience
- Must display organizational agility; able to develop and leverage effective relationships and networks; knows how to get things done through both formal channels and informal networks
- Demonstrated attention to detail in a complex and demanding environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to manage projects of medium complexity including creating project plans
- Experience working with and understanding technical concepts and solutions
- Understanding marketing campaign and account based marketing principles
- Must have the demonstrated ability to:
- Manage and effectively interact with people at various leadership levels across different business units and technical disciplines in a high pressure work environment
- Quickly learn new software tools and business processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook PowerPoint Excel Visio and Word)
Desirable:
- Proficiency in Salesforce marketing and data cloud Cloud platforms
- Proficiency with other marketing segmentation tracking and activation tools
- Understanding of Tableau and other data visualization tools
