Job Description

At TLG Global we specialize in the development and management of highquality assets across multiple countries. With a strong focus on the construction of hotels and largescale real estate projects we are committed to delivering excellence innovation and precision. We are seeking a Construction Director to lead and oversee our construction projects ensuring timely costeffective and highquality delivery.

Role Overview:

The Construction Director will be responsible for the comprehensive management of construction projects from planning and design to execution and completion. This role demands strong leadership technical expertise and compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate must have the flexibility to travel frequently possess a valid driver s license and can manage multiple sites. Registration with the Portuguese Order of Engineers is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    • Oversee all phases of construction projects ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with architects engineers contractors and other stakeholders.
  2. Site Supervision:

    • Manage and oversee construction activities across current sites including Alc cer do Sal and Bucelas.
    • Ensure site operations are aligned with project plans and resolve onsite issues efficiently.
  3. Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure all construction activities comply with Portuguese construction laws regulations and industry standards.
    • Maintain strict adherence to health safety and environmental regulations.
  4. Budget and Cost Control:

    • Develop and manage project budgets ensuring costefficiency and avoiding overruns.
    • Monitor and approve expenditures contracts and change orders.
  5. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor the construction team fostering collaboration and productivity.
    • Resolve conflicts and ensure seamless communication among project stakeholders.
  6. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
    • Monitor progress and address issues proactively to avoid delays or cost increases.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Provide regular progress updates to senior management and project stakeholders.
    • Maintain detailed project documentation including schedules budgets and compliance reports.


Requisitos

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification: Must be registered with the Portuguese Order of Engineers.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction management with a focus on largescale projects.
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects within the hospitality or real estate sectors is preferred.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and legal requirements.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong leadership organizational and problemsolving skills.
    • Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
