Job Description

In this instance we are on the lookout for a/anConstruction Manager to lead projects in the Oil & Gas sector in Portugal.

Location: Sines Portugal.

Work Modality: onsite work.


Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily and weekly meetings to monitor project progress.
  • Oversee and validate the construction execution plan and the progress of daily work.
  • Coordinate supervise and manage onsite construction activities through supervisors.
  • Review the EPCM contractors weekly and monthly reports on contract status project costs and potential changes.
  • Collaborate with the EPCM contractor to ensure productivity goals are met and emerging issues are resolved.
  • Coordinate the integration of construction activities with different departments such as engineering maintenance and quality assurance.
  • Ensure that safety and quality standards are met on site.
  • Analyze and mitigate construction risks.
  • Provide technical support to the EPCM contractor and the project manager.
  • Assist in the precommissioning commissioning and startup phases.
  • Participate in the completion and closeout of the project.


Requirements:

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering Project Management Civil Engineering or related fields.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in planning and controlling construction projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Experience managing schedules budgets and the performance of contractors and suppliers as well as reviewing and managing contractual terms with a focus on risk minimization.
  • Experience in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders (EPCM subcontractors suppliers).
  • Knowledge of cost management and detection of delays in project progress.
  • Advanced proficiency in project planning tools such as Primavera P6 MS Project and SAP.
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level).
