In this instance we are on the lookout for a/anConstruction Manager to lead projects in the Oil & Gas sector in Portugal.
Location: Sines Portugal.
Work Modality: onsite work.
Responsibilities:
- Attend daily and weekly meetings to monitor project progress.
- Oversee and validate the construction execution plan and the progress of daily work.
- Coordinate supervise and manage onsite construction activities through supervisors.
- Review the EPCM contractors weekly and monthly reports on contract status project costs and potential changes.
- Collaborate with the EPCM contractor to ensure productivity goals are met and emerging issues are resolved.
- Coordinate the integration of construction activities with different departments such as engineering maintenance and quality assurance.
- Ensure that safety and quality standards are met on site.
- Analyze and mitigate construction risks.
- Provide technical support to the EPCM contractor and the project manager.
- Assist in the precommissioning commissioning and startup phases.
- Participate in the completion and closeout of the project.
Requirements:
- University degree in Industrial Engineering Project Management Civil Engineering or related fields.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in planning and controlling construction projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Experience managing schedules budgets and the performance of contractors and suppliers as well as reviewing and managing contractual terms with a focus on risk minimization.
- Experience in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders (EPCM subcontractors suppliers).
- Knowledge of cost management and detection of delays in project progress.
- Advanced proficiency in project planning tools such as Primavera P6 MS Project and SAP.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level).
