We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Director / Head of Payments to lead and drive the growth of our merchant acquiring payments business. This key leadership role will focus on shaping the strategic direction of our payments infrastructure managing partnerships and driving new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payment systems fintech innovation and a proven track record of developing successful business strategies in the payments industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Define and execute a comprehensive payments strategy that aligns with the company s overall business objectives.
- Oversee the development implementation and scaling of innovative payment solutions to ensure the seamless operation of our payment systems.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align the payments strategy with broader business goals and market trends.
Business Development & Partnership Growth:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in payments including partnerships with financial institutions fintech companies and payment
- processors.
- Drive the negotiation and execution of strategic agreements partnerships and collaborations to expand the company s payment ecosystem.
- Stay ahead of market trends and create new revenue streams through innovative payment models and solutions.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead mentor and inspire a highperforming team of payment professionals including product managers engineers and analysts.
- Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and accountability across teams.
- Establish clear objectives and KPIs for the team to ensure operational excellence and business growth.
Strategize and Manage the Payment Business:
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify emerging trends customer needs and market gaps ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the payments industry.
- Develop actionable insights from market data and internal analytics to guide business strategy and inform decisionmaking.
Account Management & Client Relationship Growth:
- Lead the account management function to ensure longterm client success and satisfaction with our payment solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts ensuring that customer needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Work closely with the sales marketing and customer support teams to identify upsell and crosssell opportunities within existing accounts driving growth and deepening customer loyalty.
- Manage escalations and ensure that client issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner maintaining a high level of service excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the payments or fintech industry with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role focused on business development.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and scaling payment solutions.
