Job Description
Role: Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops Engineer
Location: Zurich Switzerland
Type: FullTime (12 Months Contract with very good possible extension).
We are seeking an experienced Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops Engineer to join our team in Zurich. In this role you will extend and enhance VDI and Citrix solutions to support the VDI PAS function ensuring a seamless and efficient virtual desktop infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extend and optimize VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops solutions to meet the requirements of the VDI PAS function.
- Design deploy and maintain Citrix environments ensuring scalability reliability and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Citrix Virtual Apps Desktops and underlying infrastructure.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align Citrix solutions with organizational goals.
- Monitor system performance optimize configurations and implement updates or patches as needed.
- Document processes configurations and changes to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and support for endusers and IT teams regarding Citrix and VDI environments.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (formerly XenApp/XenDesktop).
- Handson experience with VDI environments including design deployment and management.
- Solid understanding of Citrix architecture including StoreFront Delivery Controllers and NetScaler.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware or HyperV.
- Experience with performance tuning capacity planning and troubleshooting in a Citrix/VDI setup.
- Familiarity with Active Directory Group Policies and other supporting technologies.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Citrix certifications (e.g. CCAV CCPV or similar) are a plus.
- Prior experience working in regulated environments or financial institutions is desirable.
