Job Title: General Engineer (Healthcare Infrastructure)
Duration: 6 12 Months
Locations:
- Tucson AZ: 3675 Britannia Drive Shifts: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM or 3:30 PM 12:00 AM
- Lancaster TX: 2962 South Longhorn Drive Shifts: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Engineer to provide professional engineering services focusing on healthcare delivery processes and systems. The successful candidate will ensure that appropriate infrastructure facilities and equipment are available to support medical missions effectively. This role requires a solid foundation in engineering principles and the ability to apply them in a healthcare context.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Engineer to provide professional engineering services focusing on healthcare delivery processes and systems. The successful candidate will ensure that appropriate infrastructure facilities and equipment are available to support medical missions effectively. This role requires a solid foundation in engineering principles and the ability to apply them in a healthcare context.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering from a program accredited by ABET or a degree including courses in differential and integral calculus and at least five of the following areas:
- Statics Dynamics
- Strength of Materials (StressStrain Relationships)
- Fluid Mechanics Hydraulics
- Thermodynamics
- Electrical Fields and Circuits
- Nature and Properties of Materials (Particle and Aggregate Structures)
- Other Fundamental Engineering Sciences (e.g. Optics Heat Transfer Soil Mechanics Electronics)
- Proven proficiency in English (reading understanding speaking and writing fluently).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in healthcare or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engineering expertise in all aspects of healthcare delivery systems ensuring infrastructure aligns with medical mission requirements.
- Oversee the design implementation and evaluation of healthcare facilities and equipment.
- Apply principles of engineering science or physics such as statics dynamics thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to develop innovative solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses to ensure compliance with applicable codes standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to optimize the functionality and efficiency of healthcare infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain project documentation including technical specifications progress reports and evaluations.
- Provide recommendations for improvements to existing systems to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
