Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M&E Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in electromechanical fields including electrical HVAC air conditioning and fire protection systems. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of local design regulations and expertise in CAD design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs for mechanical and electrical systems including electrical HVAC air conditioning and fire protection systems.
- Utilize CAD software to create precise and accurate design drawings and layouts.
- Ensure all designs comply with local design regulations standards and codes.
- Collaborate with project managers architects and other engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Review and approve design documents and drawings ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure the proper implementation of designs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team throughout the design and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure designs are correctly implemented and meet quality standards.
- Identify and resolve any designrelated issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including design calculations specifications and reports.
- Ensure all project documentation is uptodate and accurately reflects the current design and project status.
- Present design concepts and progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in M&E design preferably in Malaysia.
- Proven experience in designing electrical HVAC air conditioning and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Revit etc.) and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of local design regulations standards and codes.
- Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality work.
Position is based in KL Malaysia.
