The Head of Impact Assessment will define strengthen and lead the organizations impact footprint aligning impact strategy and planning with its core vision and mission.
This role requires a focus on achieving measurable highquality outcomes across adolescent and livelihood programs while also innovating and elevating the organizations standards for impact rigor and measurement design.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Impact Assessment and Strategy: Develop and refine an impactful strategy in line with the organizations goals for adolescent life skills and livelihood programs. Ensure clear measurable goals and outcomes that drive progress toward the organizational mission.
- Rigor and Innovation in Impact Measurement: Design and implement highquality measurement frameworks that capture both quantitative and qualitative changes over time. Drive innovation in impact measurement to offer insights into program effectiveness and longterm impact.
- Leadership of Impact Team: Build a highperforming motivated team setting clear communication pathways and aligning roles with organizational goals. Provide mentorship and guidance to ensure the team captures and shares program results effectively across projects.
- Strategic Transformation: Transition the impact function from an operational focus to a strategic partner driving meaningful contributions in daily organizational functions. Introduce fresh methodologies and perspectives that elevate the impact functions strategic value.
- Research and Studies: Lead thematic research and studies to strengthen programming and foster discourse around adolescent education and youth skills. Ensure all research aligns with global standards and contributes to publications in peerreviewed journals.
- Program Quality and Standardization: Develop standardized program quality metrics across domains and timeframes meeting the needs of varied donors and impact investors. Build rigorous data validation and efficiency through technologydriven processes.
- EvidenceBased Advocacy: Utilize program data to drive evidencebased advocacy with key stakeholders including government partners to enhance adolescent and youthfocused interventions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Drive partnerships and maintain strategic relationships with government and ecosystem stakeholders. Demonstrate how the organizations efforts align with and support government policy goals such as NEP youth policy and skills development initiatives.
- Knowledge Management and Thought Leadership: Lead knowledge management efforts contributing new evidence and sectoral insights to support internal strategic planning and thought leadership in the fields of life skills education and youth skilling.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Ensure close collaboration between impact program development implementation and strategic communications teams representing the impact function on various forums as a member of the senior management team.
Candidate Requirement:
- Research and Impact Assessment Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of research evaluation and impact assessment relevant to adolescent and youth programs.
- Development Sector Experience: Strong programmatic understanding and extensive experience in social development with demonstrated operational excellence and process orientation.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to connect with key stakeholders including donors partners and government agencies.
- Strategic and Business Acumen: Ability to develop strategic initiatives and translate them into operational plans; attention to detail and process improvement.
- Leadership and Team Management: Exceptional team leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams across levels and promote a highperformance culture.
- Technology and Innovation: Understanding of how technology can enhance impact measurement and program delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Social Work or a related social science field relevant to the development sector.
- Experience: Minimum of 20 years in the development sector with leadership roles in impact assessment monitoring and evaluation and grassrootslevel change management.
- Sectoral Expertise: Experience across diverse development issues at progressively senior levels with a background in leading impactfocused functions preferred.
- Domain Expertise and Advocacy: Strong background in research publications and policy advocacy. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain government partnerships.
