Adheres to priorities and deadlines; completes work within scheduled time frames. Provide leadership as an Interim Director of Nursing Services when a center is in the process of hiring and/or training a DNS. Provide mentoring to Directors of Nursing Services. Provide leadership and support to centers where there is need for more guidance and assistance and/or for longer periods of time than can be provided by the Rehab/Skilled Consultant. Provide consultation interpretation assistance guidance and problem solving services to center staff Regional Vice Presidents administrators directors of nursing services and other National Campus staff. Develop and provide training during assignments. Assist nursing staff to coordinate provision of services with other disciplines to meet resident needs and to provide safe effective holistic care within regulations and guidelines. Throughout the assignment provide consultation and assistance to center staff on development and implementation of QAPI processes in partnership with the Quality consultant. Maintain knowledge of current information and practices in the nursing field and longterm care. Ability to work as an interdisciplinary team member. Travel to centers to work 100% of the time. Oncall 24 hours a day while on assignment. Provide crisis management. Strong leadership skills. Ability to problem solve. Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing home regulations survey process and writing and implementing plans of correction. Comments:Oncall for nursing department related questions; Help ensure appropriate staffing; Review potential referrals and give admissions coordinator a yes or no in a timely manner; Assist with followup on risk management incidents and suggestions/concerns; Complete a daily review of the 24 hour or 72 hour report and the Dashboard followup as needed; Assist with ensuring timely reporting to the department of health; Utilize policies/procedures as your guide in your daily work and decisions. We had 3 tags 1 was a G related to fall investigation/transfers the other 2 were lowlevel (care plan tag and dietary tag). Our leadership team and nurse manager team are excellent. I think a motivated individual with clear direction could make some improvements fast that would make the nurse managers and floor staff super happy! 1) Help with ensuring distribution of duties among floor staff makes sense and people know what is expected of them. 2) Help with development/defining of systems around wounds; UDA completion; and PRN psychotropic medications. 3) Hold down the fort.
