Job Description
Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst GIS(US Citizens only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:- Analyze user requirements and translate them into GIS application specifications.
- Design and implement scalable GIS solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Evaluate and recommend tools technologies and processes to enhance GIS systems.
- Configure customize and maintain GIS software applications and databases.
- Develop and optimize geospatial data models workflows and scripts.
- Ensure system performance integrity and security through regular updates and audits.
- Manage spatial databases and ensure data accuracy consistency and accessibility.
- Integrate GIS data with other enterprise systems ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Conduct geospatial analyses and generate maps reports and dashboards to support decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify GIS needs and provide solutions.
- Train and support endusers in utilizing GIS tools and applications effectively.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams stakeholders and business units to resolve GISrelated issues.
- Lead or participate in GISrelated projects ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope.
- Identify risks create mitigation plans and ensure project alignment with organizational priorities.
- Document project plans processes and system changes comprehensively.
- Stay updated with advancements in GIS technologies trends and methodologies.
- Develop and promote best practices in GIS system usage and maintenance.
- Bachelors degree in GIS Computer Science Information Technology Geography or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Experience in GIS systems analysis development or related roles.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS QGIS or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of geospatial databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/PostGIS SQL Server) and spatial data standards.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python SQL JavaScript or R).
- Experience with GIS integration with other enterprise systems (ERP CRM etc.).
- Solid understanding of cartography principles spatial analysis and data visualization.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
- Experience with cloudbased GIS solutions and services is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
- Certifications such as GISP ESRI Technical Certifications or PMP.
- Experience with webbased GIS application development and APIs.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
