Job Description:
Job Purpose:
- Maintaining electrical/ mechanical testing rigs testing design validation and verification of electronics or electromechanical equipment and products Assemble and disassemble electric motors test rigs and lab equipment.
Job Duties:
- Work with Engineering to understand and apply defined test methods and requirements.
- Maintain lab equipment in good working order.
- Troubleshoot defective lab equipment provide first attempt at repairing broken equipment and lead routine maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Build test harnesses load boxes and test fixtures to support product verification as required with minimal supervision.
- Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
- Inform supervisor of process test or design problems and provide recommendation for corrective action.
- Design and assemble electrical/mechanical fixtures and test setups as required.
- Perform inspection test and failure analysis as necessary to determine cause of defective tests and assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Create test documentation when required for prototype products if engineering instructions are not available.
- Communicate in a professional and effective manner.
- Perform other associated tasks as required.
Top Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude Dyno precision electrical knowledge troubleshooting wire harnesses assembling test fixtures.
- 75% of the time is working in the lab doing testing and 25% is meetings and reports
