Job description

We are looking for an experienced Microbiology researcher with a critical mindset to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing lab experiments and plant trials (in greenhouse and field) to support our research/product pipeline.
The ideal candidate will have handson experience in performing microbiological experiments analyzing results and ensuring high standards of safety and quality control.
The role requires strong technical skills experience with microbiology techniques and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to support research or industrial microbiology applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiology assays and execute greenhouse experiments
  • Collect document and analyze data with attention to detail. Report back to supervisors.
  • Understand relevance of the test procedures and product specifications to the enduse requirements of the business.
  • Is aware of progress and innovation in laboratory techniques.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize experimental procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Microbiology Biology or related field.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience working in a microbiology laboratory preferably in an industrial or research setting.
  • Experience with plant assays is a plus
  • Proficiency in handling and culturing a wide variety of microorganisms.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • You draw energy from collective success.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills verbal and written in English (Dutch is a plus).
