The role: We are seeking a Consultant/Specialist in General Medicine to join a friendly rural setting in QLD.
You will have the opportunity to:- Provide high quality inpatient and outpatient services
- Foster the development of expertise in General Medicine of physician trainees, resident medical officers, and medical students, and be involved in performance appraisal and feedback.
- Be part of a team that actively contributes to patient safety by following policies, procedures and protocols of the Hospital and Health Service.

Competitive pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $671,316 p.a. comprising:- 5 weeks annual recreational leave accumulation with 17.5% loading when taken
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance of 35-50% base annual salary
- Regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% base annual salary
- Motor vehicle allowance
- Professional development allowance and leave of 3.6 weeks p.a.

The Hospital: The Hospital and Health Service covers an area of over 300,000 square kilometres and services the rural and remote communities, it has developed into the major referral hospital for the region, with smaller satellite hospitals. It offers primary, secondary and community health services in addition to specialist services such as anaesthetics, paediatrics, psychiatry, surgery and obstetrics & gynaecology. It also hosts a range of clinics in specialty and sub-specialty services.

Skills/Qualifications:- Hold current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medial Board of Australia.
- Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
