Job Purpose
Overview:
The Manager Manager Procurement & Sourcing will be responsible for
identifying evaluating and developing strategic relationships with suppliers to
support the companys procurement and production needs. This position will focus on
ensuring a consistent supply of highquality raw materials Fabrication components
Bought out components Imports items and services while optimizing costs and
maintaining longterm vendor relationships.
2. Key Responsibilities
Vendor Identification & On boarding:
Lead efforts to identify and develop relationships with key suppliers for
materials fabrication machining items Bought Out ^ Imports items.
Conduct due diligence including supplier audits quality assessments and
financial health evaluations to ensure alignment with company standards.
Negotiate contracts terms and conditions focusing on cost
competitiveness quality standards delivery timelines Safety stock Packing
& logistic.
Vendor Performance Management:
Establish performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement from
suppliers focusing on lead times quality and delivery consistency.
Manage and resolve any escalated vendor issues coordinating with internal
stakeholders to minimize disruption in the supply chain.
Develop and implement supplier development programs aimed at improving
vendor capabilities in line with company growth.
Cost & Quality Optimization:
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify costsaving
opportunities through better sourcing strategies.
Work closely with the QA team to ensure vendor compliance with product
specifications and quality assurance standards.
Ensure competitive bidding and pricing strategies are in place for materials
sourced continually evaluating the market for better pricing or quality.
Should be familiar with Zero base costing & knowledge of different
manufacturing process.
Strategic Vendor Relationships:
Develop longterm partnerships with key suppliers to ensure security of
supply and favourable terms including exploring collaborative development
projects for new materials or components.
Drive innovation and bring valueadd initiatives through vendor partnerships
to improve production efficiency and reduce overall costs.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Identify potential supply chain risks including geopolitical financial and
operational risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks.
Ensure all sourcing activities comply with industry standards ethical
sourcing practices and regulatory requirements both domestically and
internationally.
Maintain proper documentation of vendor certifications compliance reports
Should be familiar with Sourcing MIS report monthly along with
commodity pricing currency fluctuation & market demand
