Title: Sustainability Coordinator

Location: San Francisco CA

Duration: 6 Months

Description:

Location: Work location is in San Francisco but remote work is allowed.

Hours: 85 PM EST with flexibility

Required Education: Bachelors degree in Sustainability Data Analytics Business or a related field.

Top 5 Required Skills:

1. 2 years of experience in data analysis compliance or sustainability roles.

2. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel Power BI Tableau).

3. Proven track record in managing certification processes and conducting portfolio audits.

4. Strong project management and organizational skills

5. Experience in a highly matrixed corporate environment with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.

Top Skills Required:
1. Sustainability and Data Analysis Expertise
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in roles related to sustainability data analysis or compliance.
2. Proficiency with Tools
o Advanced skills in Excel Power BI Tableau and the Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysis.


NicetoHave Skills:
1. SAP/PLM Experience
o Knowledge of SAP or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is a plus.
2. Project Management & Organizational Skills
o Strong ability to manage projects prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Technology Proficiencies:

*Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills

Conversion Planning: None planned presently but there is visibility to other teams who might have a fulltime position available that can be applied for.

Position Overview

  • This role is newly available to provide temporary coverage for a fulltime employee on medical leave.
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst with expertise in data remediation reporting certification maintenance portfolio audit and process development to join our team as a contractor.
  • This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy transparency and compliance of sustainabilityrelated data across our portfolio.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a keen eye for detail advanced analytical capabilities and a solid understanding of certification processes and industry benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Remediation

o Identify and resolve inconsistencies gaps and errors in sustainabilityrelated datasets.

o Develop processes and documentation to maintain ongoing data integrity.

o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align data sources and methodologies.

2. Reporting

o Prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and company goals.

o Provide data insights to inform decisionmaking and sustainability strategy.

3. Certification Maintenance

o Manage documentation and data submissions for key certifications (e.g. Cruelty Free International).

o Track certification renewal timelines and requirements ensuring timely updates and compliance.

o Liaise with certification bodies and thirdparty auditors as needed.

4. Portfolio Audit

o Conduct thorough audits of the sustainability claims and certifications across the product portfolio including regulatory compliance.

o Identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.

5. Process Development

o Design and implement standardized processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of sustainabilityrelated operations.

o Document workflows establish best practices and create training materials for internal teams.

o Continuously evaluate and enhance processes to adapt to regulatory and organizational changes.
