Job Title: Product Analyst/Owner/Manager with Personal Lines (Insurance)
Location: Hybrid Role (3 days Onsite/week) in Bloomington IL 61701
Duration: FullTime (FTE)

The team has been hard at work developing data solutions that provide a level of detail that the company has not had before with continued advancement in automation. New projects coming down will include adding machine learning to some of our reports to aid in the identification of trends
As a Personal Lines Product Analyst at Clients you will be a critical member of our PL Market Management team (formerly State Product Management) reporting to the Personal Lines Product Analytics Supervisor. You will be tasked with improving our product insights for Personal Lines Market Managers by advancing product analytics driving our analytic and competitive tools and data. In short you will have the rewarding opportunity to drive Personal Lines into the future by providing the analytic and datadriven tactical support to the local markets to drive the business.
How does a Personal Lines Product Analyst make an impact
- Drive the successful development of new products and the effective management and enhancement of existing products by making recommendations regarding product design pricing underwriting agency management distribution claims and other processes.
- Ensures overall goals for production and underwriting profitability are met by analyzing premium rates loss experience and retention. Monitors the mix of business in assigned state(s) identifying changes in the mix and reasons for those changes.
- In conjunction with marketing develops assigned state(s) business profit and growth strategies and translates business ideas and market opportunities into new product ideas by researching and maintaining awareness of all major competitors current market positions (i.e. rates service levels financial positions and operating strategies) business directions financial dynamics and new technologies.
- Communicates and coordinates key profit metrics by coordinating with the Information Technology (IT) department to ensure proper implementation of rate revisions new products new product features and other initiatives; develops working relationships with Accounting Actuarial Claims Customer Service and IT.
Qualifications:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present to small groups.
- Knowledge of personal lines insurance products and processes.
- Experience with forecasting and modeling.
- Experience with SQL and understanding of relational databases.
- Typically requires 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience education and training.
