Job Description: Summer Supply Chain Consulting Associate
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Summer Supply Chain Consulting Associate to join our team for a 10 12 week internship program. As a Summer Associate you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that address supply chain challenges improve operational efficiency and enhance overall performance for our clients. You will collaborate with senior consultants analyze supply chain processes and contribute to the development of strategic solutions that drive measurable results. This internship provides handson experience in a dynamic and fastpaced consulting environment.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess client supply chain operations identify inefficiencies and propose tailored strategies for improvement.
- Assist in the development of supply chain optimization initiatives focusing on areas such as inventory management procurement logistics and production planning.
- Support the creation of supply chain roadmaps that align with clients business goals and industry best practices.
- Collect organize and analyze supply chain data including logistics metrics inventory levels supplier performance and cost structures.
- Prepare dashboards reports and presentations that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable insights.
- Contribute to datadriven decisionmaking by providing clear and concise recommendations based on analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization within client supply chain operations applying frameworks such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Support the implementation of best practices to improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance service levels.
- Assist in mapping and streamlining workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Evaluate supplier and vendor performance identifying risks and opportunities for relationship optimization.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable and costeffective procurement strategies that enhance supplier collaboration and resilience.
- Help clients create strategies to improve supplier performance and align procurement practices with sustainability goals.
- Analyze risks in client supply chains such as supplier dependencies demand fluctuations and potential disruptions.
- Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to improve supply chain resilience.
- Contribute to recommendations for enhancing clients adaptability to changing market conditions and supply chain challenges.
- Prepare client presentations reports and strategic recommendations to communicate findings and proposed solutions effectively.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops contributing insights and supporting discussions on supply chain challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to ensure deliverables are met on time and exceed client expectations.
- Conduct research on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in supply chain management.
- Benchmark client supply chain performance against industry standards to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay informed on innovations in supply chain technology such as blockchain IoT and advanced analytics.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Industrial Engineering Logistics or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated interest in supply chain management consulting or operations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes inventory management procurement and logistics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
- Familiarity with supply chain technologies or ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) is a plus.
- Proactive selfmotivated and eager to learn in a fastpaced consulting environment.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Detailoriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Passionate about problemsolving and improving supply chain efficiency.
