Job Description: Senior Sustainability Consulting Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Sustainability Consulting Analyst to join our consulting team. In this role you will lead sustainability initiatives for clients helping them reduce their environmental footprint optimize resource use and align their operations with sustainability best practices. You will oversee key projects provide actionable recommendations and drive impactful change across a range of industries. As a senior member of the team you will mentor junior consultants manage client relationships and contribute to the overall growth of our sustainability consulting practice.
- Lead the development and implementation of sustainability strategies for clients focusing on environmental social and governance (ESG) goals.
- Work closely with senior leadership and client teams to integrate sustainability into business strategies and drive measurable outcomes.
- Advise clients on aligning sustainability goals with longterm business objectives to enhance profitability stakeholder engagement and environmental impact.
- Conduct detailed analyses of sustainabilityrelated data including carbon emissions energy use waste management water usage and supply chain efficiency.
- Develop and present comprehensive reports dashboards and insights to senior leadership and clients highlighting progress toward sustainability goals.
- Lead the preparation of sustainability reports in line with global standards such as GRI CDP or SASB ensuring compliance and transparency.
- Design strategies to reduce carbon footprints energy consumption and waste production for clients supporting their transition to more sustainable practices.
- Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) and environmental impact analyses of products and services to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement resource efficiency initiatives to help clients achieve energy and cost savings while reducing environmental impact.
- Assess and optimize clients supply chains to ensure sustainability throughout sourcing production and distribution.
- Work with clients and suppliers to improve sustainable sourcing practices and integrate ESG considerations into the supply chain.
- Provide recommendations to help clients identify risks and opportunities related to sustainability across their supply chain operations.
- Advise clients on evolving sustainability regulations and industry standards (e.g. carbon pricing emissions regulations waste management laws).
- Help clients ensure compliance with environmental regulations and prepare for audits or sustainability certifications (e.g. ISO 14001 LEED).
- Design and implement sustainability risk management frameworks to mitigate environmental social and governancerelated risks.
- Lead client meetings and workshops to discuss sustainability strategies provide recommendations and drive decisionmaking.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders developing strong trustbased relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Track project milestones deliverables and timelines to ensure successful execution of sustainability initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends new technologies and innovations in sustainability practices advising clients on how to leverage these advancements.
- Conduct research on sustainability best practices emerging trends and regulatory changes that could impact client operations.
- Contribute to the firms thought leadership by preparing white papers case studies and presentations on sustainability issues and solutions.
- Manage and mentor junior consultants providing guidance and support to develop their skills in sustainability consulting.
- Foster a collaborative and knowledgesharing environment to promote the professional growth of the team.
- Lead by example ensuring that all work is of the highest quality delivered on time and meets client expectations.
- Bachelors degree in Sustainability Environmental Science Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
- Advanced degree (e.g. MBA MSE MPA) or relevant certifications (e.g. LEED PMP Six Sigma ISO 14001) are preferred.
- 5 7 years of experience in sustainability consulting environmental management or corporate responsibility.
- Proven track record of leading sustainability projects developing strategies and delivering impactful results for clients.
- Indepth knowledge of sustainability frameworks ESG reporting standards and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis financial modeling and sustainabilityrelated software tools.
- Expertise in sustainability frameworks including GRI CDP SASB and ESG standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Power BI Tableau and other data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders in an accessible format.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and leading crossfunctional teams.
- A strategic thinker who can assess complex sustainability challenges and develop creative actionable solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients stakeholders and internal teams.
- Passionate about sustainability and committed to driving positive environmental social and governance outcomes.
- Ability to work independently manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced consulting environment.
