Job Description: Summer Healthcare Consulting Analyst

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Summer Healthcare Consulting Analyst to join our dynamic consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain handson experience in healthcare consulting where you will assist clients in optimizing their operations improving patient outcomes and addressing regulatory and financial challenges. You will work alongside senior consultants and healthcare professionals analyzing data conducting research and contributing to the development of strategies that help healthcare organizations succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.

• Assist in analyzing healthcare data including patient outcomes financial performance operational metrics and regulatory compliance data.
• Help develop reports dashboards and presentations to communicate key insights to clients and stakeholders.
• Perform trend analysis and identify opportunities for improving patient care reducing costs and enhancing operational efficiency.

• Work with senior consultants to develop healthcare strategies that improve clinical processes optimize hospital or healthcare system operations and improve overall patient satisfaction.
• Assist in identifying inefficiencies within healthcare organizations and recommend solutions to streamline operations improve patient flow and reduce waste.
• Support the development and implementation of operational strategies to help clients meet performance goals and optimize service delivery.

• Support healthcare organizations in navigating complex regulations including HIPAA CMS and other healthcare laws and standards.
• Assist in preparing compliance reports and ensuring that healthcare clients meet industry regulations and standards.
• Research regulatory changes and emerging healthcare policies to advise clients on necessary adjustments to their operations and strategies.

• Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to analyze existing workflows and suggest improvements in care delivery.
• Contribute to developing strategies to improve the quality of care provided to patients reduce readmission rates and improve clinical outcomes.
• Help design and implement performance management systems to track and improve the efficiency of healthcare service delivery.

• Assist in preparing client presentations reports and strategic recommendations to help healthcare organizations meet their objectives.
• Participate in client meetings and workshops helping to facilitate discussions and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
• Support the tracking and reporting of project deliverables to ensure that client expectations are met.

• Conduct research on healthcare industry trends emerging technologies and innovations in care delivery to inform client strategies.
• Benchmark client performance against industry standards and best practices to provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated on healthcare innovations and regulatory changes that could impact healthcare organizations.

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration Public Health Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong academic performance with an interest in healthcare systems consulting or business strategy.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with healthcare management tools EHR systems and financial analysis is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear actionable manner.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and policies is an advantage.
