Job Description: Summer Risk Consulting Associate
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Risk Consulting Associate to join our consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain handson experience in risk management consulting. As a Summer Associate you will assist in identifying assessing and mitigating risks across various areas such as operational financial regulatory and strategic risks. You will work closely with senior consultants and clients to help develop actionable insights and solutions that enable organizations to effectively manage risk and improve their business resilience.
- Assist in conducting comprehensive risk assessments by identifying key risks that could impact client operations finances and compliance.
- Analyze client data to evaluate current risk exposure and assist in developing detailed risk profiles.
- Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential impacts of identified risks and help prioritize mitigation efforts.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to design and implement risk mitigation strategies tailored to client needs.
- Assist in developing frameworks for managing operational financial and regulatory risks through improved processes policies and controls.
- Support the design and implementation of risk controls to minimize exposure to identified risks.
- Help clients ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards by assessing current risk management frameworks.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes that may impact clients including those related to data protection financial regulations and industryspecific rules.
- Assist in preparing reports presentations and compliance documentation for client audits and regulatory reviews.
- Assist in preparing clientfacing deliverables such as risk assessments risk reports presentations and actionable recommendations.
- Help communicate findings and risk mitigation strategies clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders.
- Track the implementation of risk management recommendations and assist in providing progress updates to clients.
- Conduct research on industry trends best practices and emerging risks in the global business environment.
- Benchmark client risk management strategies against industry standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze market conditions and provide insights on potential external risks that may impact client operations.
- Work alongside senior consultants and project managers on client engagements contributing to both data analysis and risk management activities.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions and client meetings to contribute ideas and support solution development.
- Learn and develop your consulting skills by engaging with experts and gaining exposure to various risk management methodologies.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Risk Management Finance Economics Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with an interest in risk management consulting or corporate strategy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex data to develop insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools; familiarity with risk management software is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex risk data clearly and concisely.
- Detailoriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive selfstarter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others in a teamoriented environment.
