Job Description: Summer Risk Consulting Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Summer Risk Consulting Analyst to join our consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. As a Summer Analyst you will have the opportunity to gain handson experience in the field of risk management by assisting in the identification assessment and mitigation of various risks across financial operational regulatory and strategic areas. You will work closely with senior consultants and clients to develop solutions and contribute to projects that help organizations understand and manage their risk exposure.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments for clients by identifying potential risks in operational financial regulatory and strategic areas.
- Analyze data to evaluate risk exposure and develop insights into the impact of potential risks on client organizations.
- Help identify emerging risks and assist in developing strategies for clients to proactively manage these threats.
- Support the development of risk mitigation plans and strategies to address identified risks.
- Assist in designing and recommending controls processes and systems that help clients mitigate their risk exposure.
- Help track the implementation of risk management strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
- Assist clients in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations by evaluating current compliance frameworks.
- Research and stay informed about regulatory requirements in various industries providing recommendations for compliance improvements.
- Help prepare reports and documentation for audits or regulatory reviews.
- Assist in preparing clientfacing reports presentations and risk dashboards to clearly communicate risk findings and proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to prepare clear actionable risk recommendations that align with client business objectives.
- Present findings and risk analyses to senior consultants and clients during meetings.
- Conduct industry research on best practices in risk management risk mitigation technologies and trends in the global risk environment.
- Benchmark clients risk management strategies against industry standards to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Stay updated on market and industry trends that could impact client risk profiles.
- Work alongside senior consultants and project managers on risk management projects for clients.
- Provide support in data analysis process improvement and risk modeling tasks.
- Learn from senior team members by participating in team discussions and contributing to solution development.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Risk Management Finance Economics Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with an interest in risk management consulting or corporate strategy.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools; familiarity with risk management software or tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach to learning and problemsolving.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and contribute to client success.
- A keen interest in risk management and the ability to adapt to new challenges and dynamic environments.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with an analytical mindset.
