Job Description: Summer Operations Consulting Associate
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Summer Operations Consulting Associate to join our consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. This internship offers an immersive experience in operations consulting providing opportunities to lead workstreams collaborate with clients and deliver impactful solutions to complex operational challenges. As a Summer Associate you will work closely with senior consultants and managers develop strategic insights and contribute to the design and implementation of process improvements across diverse industries.
- Conduct detailed assessments of client operations including workflows resource allocation and technology utilization.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies bottlenecks and costsaving opportunities.
- Develop actionable recommendations to improve productivity reduce costs and optimize processes.
- Design and implement process improvements using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Agile.
- Develop operational frameworks metrics and dashboards to monitor and sustain improvements.
- Collaborate with client teams to implement solutions and manage change effectively.
- Support the preparation and delivery of client presentations reports and implementation plans.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops contributing insights and recommendations.
- Ensure alignment with client goals and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
- Manage specific workstreams within larger consulting engagements ensuring ontime and highquality delivery.
- Track progress identify potential risks and propose solutions to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align efforts and maintain project momentum.
- Work closely with senior team members to execute tasks and achieve client objectives.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and team discussions to develop creative solutions.
- Gain exposure to consulting methodologies tools and industry best practices.
- Currently pursuing an MBA or other advanced degree in Business Administration Operations Management Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in consulting operations or process improvement.
- 2 4 years of prior experience in operations consulting supply chain management or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and operational analysis is a plus.
- Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Detailoriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or operationsfocused software is advantageous.
- Selfstarter with a proactive and resultsdriven mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
- Passionate about driving operational excellence and delivering measurable results.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a dynamic and evolving consulting environment.
