Job Description: Senior Infrastructure Private Equity Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Infrastructure Private Equity Analyst to join our dynamic investment team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take a lead position in analyzing and managing investments in infrastructure sectors including energy transportation utilities and digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring advanced analytical skills expertise in financial modeling and a deep interest in infrastructure private equity.
Key Responsibilities: Investment Research and Evaluation:
- Conduct detailed market research to identify and assess infrastructure investment opportunities.
- Develop and refine complex financial models including DCF IRR and sensitivity analysis to evaluate investment viability.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements industry trends and operational data to assess potential risks and returns.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal investment committees.
Due Diligence and Transaction Support:
- Lead components of the due diligence process coordinating with legal technical and financial advisors.
- Evaluate operational market and financial risks associated with potential transactions.
- Support transaction execution including negotiating terms structuring deals and facilitating closing documentation.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor portfolio company performance by analyzing key financial and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with management teams to develop and implement valuecreation strategies.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on portfolio performance for internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic Analysis and Collaboration:
- Contribute to the development of investment strategies and sectorspecific theses.
- Stay updated on industry trends regulatory developments and emerging technologies affecting the infrastructure sector.
- Work closely with senior team members on strategic initiatives and highvalue projects.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts supporting their professional development.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure the smooth execution of transactions and effective portfolio management.
Qualifications: Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Engineering Business Administration or a related field (required).
- Advanced degree (MBA or Masters in Finance/Infrastructure) or CFA designation (preferred).
Professional Experience:
- 3 5 years of experience in private equity investment banking project finance or related roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling transaction analysis and portfolio management within the infrastructure sector.
Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques including Excel and other tools.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in relevant databases and tools such as Bloomberg Preqin and PitchBook.
- Understanding of infrastructure markets regulatory environments and projectbased finance principles.
