Job Description
MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is looking for an Emergency Medicine Physician to fill their Locum need!
Schedule:
- Open FTE Open shift coverage
- Shift length: 9 & 12hour shifts
- On Call: None
- Reason for the need: Retirement
- Inpatient Responsibilities: No
- Outreach: No
- Number of Physicians: 12 Physician coverage day hours. 1 Physician coverage night hours.
- Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 12
- Supervision of APP(s) expected: Yes
- Clinic Provider Daily Volume: ED Volume average 77 patients per day
- Job Responsibilities: ED Physician coverage
- EMR: Cerner Powerchart until June then EPIC
- Teaching Opportunity: teaching hospital
- Trauma Level 3
- 250 beds
- 33000 annual visits
- Peak shifts/busiest is during 11a11p
- Transfer out less than 3% of patients
- 6090 days for privileging

Requirement description :
- Ability to get them privileged quickly no lengthy work histories (cred staff goes back 10 years) Required at name clear
- Board Certified ABEM ABEM/AOBEM (might consider FM but prefer ABEM) Required at name clear
- Clean background a must Required note at time of name clear
- IA licenses Required will accept IMLC
- Fellowship Trained Required
- ACLS & PALS are required through AHA; if ER boarded ACLS and PALS are waived; ATLS required for trauma privileges
- Availability Required at time of presentation
- Must be available for night shifts
- Orientation
- Hourly (xx350/hr cap)

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- ATLS
- Board Certified

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : ACLS & PALS are required through AHA; if ER boarded ACLS and PALS are waived; ATLS required for trauma privileges
