Position Description :
- The Manager Last Mile Transportation will support Companys transportation process for new transportation projects proof of concepts and pilots.
- The position will focus both on daily execution of existing operational processes and driving process improvement and implementing scalable solutions to the areas of responsibility.
- The position requires communication and coordination with cross functional partners across Grocery Home Shopping Store Operations eCommerce Operations Transportation FC Operations Suppliers and Carriers.
- The role will require the ability to develop a sound understanding of Supply Chain Management to design process improvement opportunities for the Last Mile team.
Essential Functions
- Supports and executes defined Company Operations processes by collaborating with crossfunctional partners to ensure the needs of the customer and business are met.
- Expectation of daily communication with internal and external partners regarding process information requirements and performance measurements to support compliance of the Last Mile business.
- Company Operations process examples include reviewing customer feedback managing lost or delayed freight priority shipping inventory resolution and daily management of carriers.
- Researches and resolves process breakdown issues for Company Operations by identifying root cause potential solutions; execution of solutions in a timely manner; and escalates complex issues to manager.
- The candidate will be able to translate iterative problem solving into creation of bestpractice standards and ensure their successful implementation at scale at the later rollout stage.
- Complies with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Completes work assignments and priorities in Company Operations by using policies data and resources.
- Adapts to and learns from change difficulties and feedback.
- Recommends and proactively designs improvement opportunities to enable the Last Mile team to meet its customer promise.
- Solutions will be grounded in data and metrics that drive the business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Statistics Math Economics Industrial Engineering or related field and 1 year experience in data analytics.
- 3 year experience in managing transportation and supply chain operations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once while ensuring deadlines are met and data output is accurate and appropriate for the business.
- Must also be able to deal with ambiguity and make independent decisions about what data and approach is best for the task at hand.
- Proficiency with MSExcel MSAccess SQL.
- Exceptional analytical skills excellent at handling large and complex data sets with SQL or other analytical tools.
- Demonstrates uptodate expertise in business systems and applies this to the development execution and improvement of action plans.
- Ensures integrity and efficiency of reports and data.
- Partners with supported functions to determine reporting solutions.
- Crossfunctional communication and project management skills.
