Job Description
Vacancy: Rubber Plantation General Manager (Ogun state)
Location: Ogun state
A rubber plantation based in Ogun state is currently seeking applications from suitable and qualified candidates to fill the position of a General Manager. He/she will manage all aspects of the plantation comprising production distribution business general administration raising capital staff management and other operations of the plantation.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at attaining the companys objectives and aspirations
- Supervise and enhance all facets of the plantation including production harvesting processing and distribution for maximum efficiency
- Forge and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers clients and regulatory bodies
- Create and execute protocols and guidelines to ensure the utmost standards of quality safety and sustainability are upheld
- Analyze and oversee the financial performance of the plantation division and devise strategies to enhance profitability
- Lead and cultivate an exceptional team offering guidance coaching and mentorship as required.
- Implement strategies reviewing and setting triggers to ensure KPIs and objectives are met in respective division
- Orchestrating the overall activities of the department operations in terms of cost response quality planning and resources utilization
- Spearhead the development of operational targets and the right strategies to strive for continuous improvement that reflect in the aspects of quality time and cost
- Work collaboratively with the management team to identify resolve and manage operational issues and challenges to achieve business
objectives
- Guarantee adherence to pertinent laws and regulations governing the plantation sector
- Ensure growth in career development of staff in line with company objectives along with organizational health indices
- Effective stakeholder management at all different working levels with presentation to the senior management team
Requirements:
- Academic background in Engineering Plantation Management Agricultural Science Manufacturing or related field of study
- Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience in the plantation sector
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a complex and dynamic business environment
- Thorough understanding of the regulatory environment governing the plantation/agriculture industry including food safety environmental and labour regulations
- Efficient strong work ethics able to work in a fastpaced environment
- Possess high level of independence integrity selfmotivation result oriented and the drive to excel
