Job Summary:
The primary objective of the Sales Support Consultant is to efficiently and professionally deal with phone and email enquiries from travel agents and the general public as well as accurately and proficiently handling ticketing requirements when required.
- As a Sales Support Consultant you will be required to:
- Receive and service telephone calls from travel agents.
- Process enquiries received via the SAA Australia email inbox.
- Process queues.
- Assist with additional service requests (e.g. excess baggage prereserved seating payments etc.).
- Assist with group booking enquiries as required.
- Assist and support the External Sales Team as required.
- Aid Finance staff to ensure completion of airline sales returns and other administrative requirements in a timely fashion.
- Perform other administration and reporting as required.
Key Expectations:
- Build and extend a friendly and professional rapport with the travel industry.
- Contribute to a harmonious cooperative and flexible work environment.
- Regularly update knowledge on new airline requirements and functions taking personal responsibility for learning airfare and product changes.
- Assist other colleagues with onthejob training as required.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
- Attend training and company conferences as required.
- Adhere to the policies and service level requirements of SAA at all times.
- Support all colleagues throughout the company to achieve company goals.
Occasional airport work may be required to support the SAA Airport team after hours.
Requirements
Requirements/Skills Needed:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in airline reservations customer service or sales support.
- Proficiency in Amadeus GDS is essential.
- Strong knowledge of airline ticketing processes and additional service management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant administrative tools.
- Willingness to learn and stay updated on airline requirements airfare and product changes.

Work Schedule: 9:00AM to 6:00PM (Au West) 9:00AM to 6:00AM (PH)
