Our client is a newly established subsidiary company that is primarily engaged in the trading of technological apparel. Its parent company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. They are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their pioneer team. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and be responsible for strategic financial planning and operations budgeting and reporting to ensure the company s financial health and compliance. You will play a key role in providing actionable insights that drive strategic decisionmaking in a fastpaced and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records prepare reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This includes income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets monitor spending and provide forecasts to guide business decisions.
- Analysis and Insights: Analyse financial data to identify trends risks and opportunities providing recommendations to optimise performance.
- Accounts Oversight: Handle full set accounts manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with tax regulations liaise with tax authorities and advisors; file tax and GST returns. Support internal/external audit processes.
- Cost Management: Track and manage costs related to production inventory and technology development.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Work closely with sales operations and R&D teams to align financial strategies with company objectives including collaborating with the HQ team based in Hong Kong.
- Other duties as assigned time to time
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting or related field will be an advantage
- Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in finance or accounting preferably in a SME or startup environment.
- Experience with cost accounting inventory management and financial regulations.
- Language ability:
- Proficiency in spoken Mandarin and confident to communicate in written Chinese to be able to liaise with and collaborate with teams in Hong Kong and China
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to take a helicopter view of the business using data and metrics to form insights to provide recommendations for optimisation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in financial software and tools specifically with experience in the use of SAP S4 HANA. Training will be provided as part of the onboarding process.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and modeling.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial insights to management as well as nonfinance teams.
