Job Description

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a Permanent fulltime Occupational Therapist(OT) pediatrics. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Craig CO 81625

Assignment Start Date: 12/16/2024

Shift: MF Days 40 hours guaranteed

Position Classification: Nonexempt

Compensation Range: $33.53 to $50.28; Facility Salary: $69742.00 to $104582.00

Occupational Therapists work primarily with outpatient pediatrics outpatient adults and some subacute inpatient adults as needed.

Essential Functions and Basic DutiesPosition Specific Performance Expectations:

  • Meets the patients goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; and determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Helps patients develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving practice in functional prevocational vocational and homemaking skills activities of daily living and sensorimotor educational recreational and social activities.
  • Issue adaptive equipment and customized splints as deemed necessary.
  • Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to an individuals physical capacity intelligence level and interest.
  • Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing noting and evaluating patients progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
  • Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians nurses social workers and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
  • Documents patient care services via EMR charting using defensible documentation in a timely and concise manner in compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
  • Develops rehab and hospital staff by providing information; and developing and conducting inservice training.
  • Complies with federal state & local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence; and advising management on needed actions.
  • Strives to: promote health create a safe and effective treatment environment motivate others have a good bedside manner listen analyze information and be qualityfocused.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development to maintain a level of clinical practice consistent with best practice standards. This includes seeking opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills and utilizing these newly acquired skills in the provision of care and for the growth and development of the department and hospital.
  • Critically assesses self to improve clinical and professional performance.
  • Advocates for the occupational therapy profession.
  • Schoolbased occupational therapists (in addition to the above expectations): Collaborate with the schoolbased team to help determine and carry Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); identify a students annual goals and determine the services supports modifications and accommodations that are required for the student to achieve them.
  • Home health physical therapists (in addition to the above expectations): Provide inhome occupational therapy services to homebound patients and work in collaboration with the home health interdisciplinary team.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

  • Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all patients staff and vendors.
  • Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain a steady level of productivity; selfmotivated; manages activity & time.
  • Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • New graduates are welcome to apply.

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

  • Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License (DORA) or valid compact license
  • Current CPR(BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire)
  • Valid Drivers License (Home Health only)

EMR: EPIC

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)
  • Must complete employee health meeting
