You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Chief Engineer oversees and manages all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations within the Residences. They are responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning and upkeep of the Residences physical infrastructure including electrical systems HVAC plumbing and other essential equipment. They collaborate closely with various departments to address any maintenance issues promptly and implement preventive measures to minimize disruptions. Additionally the Chief Engineer plays a pivotal role in implementing sustainable and energyefficient practices ensuring compliance with safety regulations and coordinating major renovation or construction projects to maintain the residences reputation for providing a superior residents experience.
Qualifications :
Education: A bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Specializations in areas such as Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management are beneficial.
Professional Experience: Five years of progressive experience in engineering and maintenance roles. Experience in a hotel residences or a similar upscale environment is highly desirable. Expertise in lift maintenance is essential including knowledge of troubleshooting inspections and preventive maintenance.
Leadership and Management Skills: The Chief Engineer should have strong leadership and management skills to oversee a team of technicians. They should be able to delegate tasks provide guidance and support and foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Experience in team management performance evaluation and professional development is valuable.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential for effective communication with other residences staff management contractors and external stakeholders. The Chief Engineer should be able to communicate technical concepts in understandable terms for nontechnical staff and build strong working relationships across departments.
Adaptability and ProblemSolving Skills: The Chief Engineer should be adaptable to changing situations and have strong problemsolving skills. They should be able to quickly assess and resolve technical issues make sound decisions under pressure and implement effective solutions. Experience in risk assessment emergency preparedness and crisis management is beneficial.
Financial Acumen: The Chief Engineer should have a solid understanding of budgeting cost control and financial management principles. Experience in managing engineering budgets negotiating contracts and optimizing resources is advantageous.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations environmental guidelines and compliance requirements is important. The Chief Engineer must ensure that the hotel meets all regulatory standards and maintain proper documentation to demonstrate compliance.
