Job Description
The Washington D.C. office is actively seeking a mid to senior level associate to join our Litigation practice group. Our ideal candidate would have three to five years of complex commercial litigation experience in both state and federal courts as well as arbitrations or other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Excellent writing skills attention to detail and strong academic credentials are required.
Compensation is based upon the roles and responsibilities of the position the experience and education of the applicant and/or employee and is aligned with internal pay equity within the Firm itself. The hiring salary range for this position is between $260000 and $365000. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
Responsibilities in the Litigation Associate Role
- Engage in all phases of the litigation process from case inception to resolution including trial and pretrial proceedings.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop strong case arguments and strategies.
- Draft clear and precise legal documents such as briefs pleadings and motions.
- Participate actively in depositions court appearances and witness preparation.
- Manage caserelated tasks efficiently to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to devise tailored legal solutions.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and maintain detailed case records compliant with legal standards.
Qualifications for Litigation Associate Role
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state of practice.
- Three to six years of experience in complex commercial litigation experience in both state and federal courts Preferred.
- Strong research analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailoriented with a strong commitment to professional standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
