Job Description
David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a multinational financial services company specializing in online trading that is seeking to onboard aFinancial Controllerto join theirteam.
Position: Financial Controller
Location: Cyprus Limassol
Work model: on site
Employment type: Fulltime
Remuneration: Base salary quarterly bonuses depending on experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the standalone and consolidated financial reporting for a group of companies ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and provide monthly financial reports as needed. Lead the companys financial planning including the annual budgeting process
- Prepare financial statements in line with IFRS and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Ensure the company complies with all regulatory requirements including tax filings and other mandatory submissions
- Maintain communication with banks and other key service providers.
- Provide guidance and support on payroll matters as needed
- Lead the implementation of a new ERP system offering training and support to team members
- Develop and enforce internal accounting procedures ensuring all team members are wellinformed and uptodate
- Prepare various adhoc management reports to support decisionmaking
- Assist with tax planning and group restructuring initiatives
- Handle adhoc tasks as required to support the business needs of the company
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native or fluent in English (C1 level) with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
- A degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- ACA or ACCA qualification is required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Financial Controller Senior Finance Manager or similar role
- Previous experience at a Big Four firm and in the FinTech industry is a plus
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with CySEC reporting is an advantage
- High attention to detail
- Experience working in a highvolume transaction environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced setting
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing a team
