We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our culinary team in Mysuru India. As a Commis Chef you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Assist in the preparation and plating of hot and cold dishes according to recipe specifications and chefs instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Support the efficient management of ingredients and kitchen resources
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Perform cleaning and storage tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff
- Contribute to menu development and recipe improvements when appropriate
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
Qualifications :
- Prior experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- Culinary education or relevant certifications are a plus but not required
