SECTION FOUR Role Purpose
The Management Accountant role is an integral part of the Tasman Holiday Parks Finance Team. This position supports the Operations Finance Manager in the monthly reporting of the Group operating results including overview of the Accounts Receivable and cash handling position of the operating assets of the Group.
SECTION FOUR Role Overview
The Management Accountant is responsible for ensuring the financial affairs are properly controlled and reported for the entities owned by the Group. This includes meeting all management accounting obligations regarding the preparation and review of monthly performance to provide timely relevant and accurate information to Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities
Complete month end accounting including reconciliations and posting journal entries to finalise monthly trading performance
Prepare monthly p&l s in a timely and accurate manner for each park to analyse and assess the financial performance make recommendations for profit improvement
Provide support to Park Managers & Operations Managers in interpretating and understanding monthly trading performance
Provide analysis and commentary on the monthly performance of the portfolio of parks across Australia and New Zealand
Assist the Finance Manager to liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to provide insights and understanding of financial results as they pertain to individual parks and overall Operational performance
Accounting for new acquisitions including settlement adjustments and training of staff at sites on Tasman finance policy and procedures
Maintain general ledger integrity of reservation management systems Newbook and RMS
Preparation and coordination of ad hoc reporting and special projects
Assist with the preparation of annuals budgets and rolling forecasts. Analyse actual results for the Group in comparison budgets & forecasts
Assist with the review of financial and operating systems to ensure the delivery of useful and meaningful management information and reporting for decisionmaking purposes
Review and analyse operating results in relation to costs budgets and operating policies.
After approval ensure major capital expenditure is incurred in compliance with budgets and approval.

Tertiary qualification CA/CPA Qualification highly regarded
Strong Excel Skills
Working knowledge of Newbook / RMS booking system highly regarded
Proven track record in achieving commercial results
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and the subsequent proactive management of such opportunities
Flexibility to adapt and respond to changes emerging in a rapid paced environment
Ability to think in terms of commercial and financial outcomes and value enhancement
Ability to work under pressure to tight timeframes as part of a core team
