Job Description
- Develop enhance and maintain Natural and COBOL programs on IBM mainframes
- Perform code reviews and ensure that programming standards are adhered to
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business analysts quality assurance teams and project managers to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions accordingly
- Develop technical design documentation test plans and user guides
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues provide solutions and apply fixes
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks and projects
- Stay updated with industry trends and developments and continuously improve technical skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or similar through experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe development with expertise in Natural and COBOL programming languages
- Experience with IBM mainframe systems and technologies
- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills
- Experience in the automotive industry or related field is a plus
