Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review customer requirements to include Statement(s) of Work.
  • Research and analysis of work requirements which include technical requirements electrical & mechanical drawings wiring diagrams and others.
  • Perform aircraft surveys and collect required data.
  • Design and develop electrical wiring schematic drawings
  • Ensure seamless integration across all components.
  • Create Interface Control Documents (ICD) The interfaces between all affected avionics systems.
  • Write Engineering Orders create installation instructions.
  • Create and produce Manual Supplements for maintenance and operations.
  • Create Installation Data Package (Technical Data Package) include systems and electrical fabrication assembly and installation drawings master data lists drawings and reports.
  • Support Sales & Business Development staff with proposals technical review of customer requirements and program risk including schedule.
  • Support certifications of avionics systems to FAA EASA or other foreign civil agencies in the aerospace industry.

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical disciplines with handson experience in designing/developing electrical schematics and/or wiring diagrams or Completion/Certificate from Technical College with avionics engineering with air carrier airline air freight operator.
  • 5 years working experience in supervision of installation of avionics systems upgrades with an MRO (maintenance repair and operations).
  • Experience with aircraft harness wiring or cable design/schematics
  • Work experience with or proficient in 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool. Ex) CATIA SolidWorks AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge and working experience in industry electrical wire harness assembly fabrication and installation methods and processes
  • Able to work with our onsite manufacturing department and troubleshooting.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • USA Passport available for domestic & international travel (occasional)
  • Must be eligible to obtain DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualification:

  • FAA DER delegation
  • Experience with similar company in the avionics upgrades driven by new technology:
  • CNS/ATM FANS Performance Based Navigation
  • Familiar with FAA and EASA Supplemental Type Certification process (STC)

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to move around constricted spaces (aircraft survey) reasonable mobility.
