About the Hospital :
Specialist Medical Services offered at the Rockhampton Hospital include Emergency Medicine General Medicine Cardiology Renal Medicine Palliative Care Psychiatry Rehabilitation Geriatric Medicine Paediatrics General Surgery Orthopaedics Urology ENT Obstetrics and Gynaecology Intensive Care and Anaesthetics. There are also a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland.

Join a high performing and evolving multidisciplinary Geriatric team that delivers high quality care for aged and frail patients across acute subacute perioperative and communitybased programs.
About you:
- Mandatory qualification/s: Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist Physician Geriatric Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in the specialty of Geriatric Medicine is required specialist qualification however applicants with equivalent overseas qualifications assessed as substantially comparable by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians may also be considered.
- Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
- The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice. There is a system of review and renewal of credentials and privileges for Senior Medical Staff. This is reviewed on a fiveyearly basis. Your qualifications and certifiable skills and competencies determine the scope of clinical practice you will be granted and subsequently your position title and salary status. Qualifications will determine appointment levels.

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $528432 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $251527 $266677 p.a. (L25L27)
- A salary rate between $210332 $244313 p.a. (L18L24)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
