Position Overview:
The Technical Program Manager will oversee the planning execution and delivery of technical projects across multiple domains. This role bridges the gap between technical teams business stakeholders and clients ensuring that projects are delivered on time within scope and to the highest quality standards. The TPM will provide leadership structure and strategic direction translating complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Execution:
- Define Project Scope: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives deliverables timelines and success criteria.
- Develop Roadmaps: Create detailed project roadmaps outlining milestones dependencies resource allocation and risk management plans.
- Coordinate CrossFunctional Teams: Ensure seamless collaboration between engineering product management marketing and other departments to achieve program goals.
- Monitor Progress: Track project progress using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) identify bottlenecks and adjust plans as needed to stay on schedule.
Technical Leadership:
- Understand Technical Requirements: Analyze complex technical challenges and translate them into clear requirements for engineering teams.
- Facilitate ProblemSolving: Lead discussions to address technical challenges explore innovative solutions and drive consensus among team members.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that technical deliverables meet highquality standards and align with company objectives.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Communicate Complex Concepts: Simplify and convey technical details in a way that nontechnical stakeholders can understand.
- Manage Expectations: Proactively communicate project status risks and updates to senior management and clients.
Risk Management:
- Identify Risks: Assess potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement Solutions: Monitor and address issues promptly to prevent project delays or scope creep.
- Contingency Planning: Prepare contingency plans to address unexpected challenges or changes in scope.
Process Improvement:
- Evaluate Workflows: Assess current processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Implement Best Practices: Introduce industry best practices to enhance productivity collaboration and overall project delivery.
- Foster Continuous Improvement: Create a culture of learning and adaptability within project teams.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
- Masters degree or PMP/Agile certification is a plus.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager Project Manager or related role.
- Proven track record of managing complex crossfunctional technical projects from inception to completion.
- Experience in an engineering software development or IT environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in remote team management.
Technical Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of software development system architecture cloud infrastructure and technical design.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency with tools like Jira Trello Asana or similar.
- Agile Methodologies: Strong experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban).
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret technical data performance metrics and project analytics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams motivate individuals and foster a collaborative environment.
