Job Description

Job Description: Store Keeper

Position Overview

We are looking for a diligent and organized Store Keeper to manage our inventory of machinery tools and consumables. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the storage and distribution of resources ensuring that all materials are accounted for and properly documented. They will play a crucial role in coordinating with suppliers and assisting the procurement officer in maintaining efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of all items in the store including machinery tools and consumables.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock levels are maintained and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
  • Material Requests:
  • Prepare and submit material requests for nonreturnable and returnable items as needed.
  • Monitor stock levels and anticipate future inventory needs to avoid shortages.
  • Supplier Coordination:
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of requested materials.
  • Track and manage delivery notes confirming that received items match orders.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain organized documentation of inventory transactions material requests and supplier communications.
  • Report regularly to the Procurement Officer regarding stock levels order statuses and any issues that arise.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all stored items are handled and stored in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor the condition of stored equipment and consumables reporting any damaged or expired items.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or supply chain is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar role and experienced in a contracting company.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

  • This position may require lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Job Types: Fulltime Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: BD150.000 BD175.000 per month
