Position Overview:

As a Technical Data Steward you will ensure adherence to data governance policies maintain metadata processes and enforce data quality controls. Key responsibilities include documenting data assets resolving data quality issues and monitoring compliance with regulations like GDPR. Youll collaborate with stakeholders to align practices implement validation rules and ensure data is accurate compliant and businessready.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all dataassets adhere to the companys data governance policies andprocedures.
• Work closely with data stewards dataowners and other stakeholders to enforcecompliance with regulatory requirements including GDPR and otherdata privacy standards.
• Work closely withdata governance engineers data engineers and tech teams to ensuretechnical compliance across the data lifecycle from data creationin the source systems ingestion to the data platform to reportingand data usage.
• Administer and maintain metadatamanagement processes ensuring all data assets are accuratelydocumented and searchable.
• Administer and process change requestsrelated to metadata management in collaboration with data stewardsand data owners by using data governance platform and toolsensuring changes are processed and implemented in a timely andcompliant manner.
• Review and track changes to datastructures data flows and metadata ensuring they align withgovernance policies.
• Maintain uptodate documentation onmetadata definitions data ownership data lineage data usage andbusiness rules associated with data assets.
• Ensure alignment between data managementpractices and business needs translating technical requirementsinto comprehensive metadata documentation.
• Implement and enforce data qualitycontrols in collaboration with data stewards and data governanceengineers ensuring data is accurate complete and fit for businessuse.
• Collaborate with tech teams to implementdata validation rules and automatic checks to prevent data qualityissues.
• Conduct root cause analysis on dataquality issues and work with data stewards and data governanceengineers to resolve discrepancies.
• Define and monitor key data qualitymetrics and communicate performance to stakeholders.
• Work closely with tech teams datagovernance team and data engineering team to ensure that technicalchanges are properly documented and reflected in the governancetools.
• Serve as a bridge between data stewardsand data governance engineers ensuring that data governancerequirements are translated into technical specifications.
• Support the implementation of datagovernance tools and platforms ensuring technical capabilities meetgovernance needs.
• Generate reports on data qualitycompliance and governance metrics to share with stakeholders andexecutive leadership.
• Ensure data stewards data owners andbusiness stakeholders have access to clear and actionabledocumentation related to the data they manage.
  
  Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer scienceinformation systems data engineering or a related field is a plus.
• 2 years of experience in datagovernance data management or a related technical role.
• Experience working with metadatamanagement tools and data governance platforms (e.g. CollibraAtlas Informatica).
• Proven experience with data qualitymanagement and implementation of data quality controls.
• Experience working in a highly regulatedindustry such as iGaming is a plus.
• Proficiency in data management tools andmetadata platforms with experience administering and maintainingmetadata repositories.
• Strong knowledge of SQL data modellingand data architecture principles.
• Familiarity with data quality tools andmethodologies including data validation and profiling.
• Understanding of data governanceframeworks policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with data privacyregulations including GDPR and data security standards.
• Strong attention to detail and a passionfor ensuring high standards of data quality.
• Excellent communication andcollaboration skills with the ability to work crossfunctionallywith business tech and data engineering teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects andpriorities in a fastpaced environment.
• Strong problemsolving skills and aproactive approach to identifying and resolving data issues.
• Strong analytical skills with theability to diagnose issues in complex data workflows.
• Strong documentation skills withattention to detail in managing documentation.
• Ability to translate technical conceptsinto businessfriendly language.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to newtechnologies tools and methodologies in the rapidly evolving datagovernance landscape.
