Job Summary: The Head of Business / VP of Business will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction growth and overall business development of our digital media agency. This senior leadership role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the digital media landscape strong business acumen and exceptional skills in building and nurturing client relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the agencys business operations driving revenue growth expanding market presence and leading crossfunctional teams to deliver innovative and impactful solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Vision: - Develop and execute the agencys business development strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Define key business objectives and create actionable plans to drive agency growth across multiple verticals (advertising marketing creative technology etc.).
- Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: - Lead efforts in acquiring and retaining key clients understanding their business needs and delivering strategic digital media solutions.
- Build and maintain strong longlasting client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Represent the agency at industry events conferences and client meetings to promote our services and expand our network.
Revenue Generation & Profitability: - Set revenue targets and drive efforts to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
- Develop pricing strategies negotiate contracts and ensure financial goals are met while maintaining profitability.
- Collaborate with finance and operations to create accurate forecasts and budgets for client projects and campaigns.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: - Lead mentor and manage a team of business development sales and account management professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and highperformance culture across different departments (creative digital marketing media planning tech) to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Develop team capabilities through training performance management and career development initiatives.
Agency Branding & Market Positioning: - Oversee the development of the agencys brand identity and ensure that our market positioning reflects our value proposition to clients.
- Lead marketing initiatives to raise the agencys visibility and credibility in the digital media industry.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and quality of service delivery across all client touchpoints.
Operational Excellence & Reporting: - Monitor business performance and report key metrics (revenue client acquisition growth etc.) to senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and implement improvements to streamline business processes.
- Ensure alignment of the business development team with the agencys overall goals and client service standards.
Qualifications & Skills: - Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Communications or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- Experience:
- At least 15 years of experience in business development sales or account management in the digital media advertising or marketing industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful teams and driving business growth.
- Deep knowledge of digital media including digital advertising SEO/SEM social media content marketing data analytics and emerging technologies.
- Strong experience in client relationship management and consultative selling.
