We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) from the hotel management industry to lead the implementation optimization and management of our Property Management System (PMS). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between hotel operations and technical teams ensuring the PMS meets operational needs while delivering seamless guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Analysis & Consultation:
- Evaluate current hotel workflows including front desk housekeeping reservations and revenue management.
- Identify pain points and recommend process improvements using PMS features.
System Implementation:
- Collaborate with the technical team to implement and configure the PMS.
- Ensure proper integration of the PMS with other systems (e.g. CRM Channel Manager POS and OTAs).
- Lead system testing troubleshooting and golive processes.
Staff Training & Support:
- Develop training programs and materials tailored to various hotel departments.
- Conduct workshops and handson training sessions for staff on PMS usage.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure user adoption and resolve operational challenges.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Monitor system usage and performance to ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Analyze KPIs such as occupancy rates ADR RevPAR and provide actionable insights.
- Recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Project Management:
- Act as the project lead for PMSrelated initiatives.
- Define project scope timelines and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate between hotel staff technical teams and vendors to ensure project success.
Guest Experience Enhancement:
- Identify and implement PMS features that enhance guest interactions (e.g. mobile checkin personalized services loyalty program integration).
- Ensure compliance with hospitality industry standards and best practices.
Stakeholder Liaison:
- Act as a primary point of contact between the PMS provider and the organization.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to align on goals and deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Bachelor s degree in Hotel Management Hospitality Administration or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g. CHRM CHIA) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 7 years in hotel management or operations.
- Extensive handson experience with popular PMS platforms (e.g. Opera Protel Cloudbeds).
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of PMS systems and their integration with thirdparty tools.
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and cloudbased solutions.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven track record of staff training and stakeholder engagement.
Project Management:
- Experience managing crossfunctional teams and delivering projects on time.
Minimum 5 7 years in hotel management or operations.
