Job Description
Your main responsibility is to assess nationally recognised units of competency and provide student feedback and support whilst ensuring compliance is met in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO) for an Australian RTO. This means you will be marking assessments such as quizzes and project tasks using rubrics and marking guides from the TAE Training Package that are compliant with industry standards and regulations. This fulltime position provides a taxable salary with governmentmandated contributions ensuring you receive all the benefits of regular employment.
- Explain to students the requirements of their assessments.
- Marking of assessment tasks
- Conducting recognition of prior learning assessments from student portfolios
- Provide feedback and support to students
- Complete all necessary assessment records
- Participate in validation and moderation meetings
- Assessing units of competency and providing student feedback
- marking assessments
- conducting RPL assessments
- providing student support.
Requirements
- TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or
- TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or
- A higherlevel qualification in adult education
- Highly proficient assessor with attention to detail whilst marking.
- Highly motivated resourceful and able to work autonomously
- Solid ethics integrity respect and confidentiality.
- Basic understanding of Australia s VET system (including AQF and Standards for RTOs 2015) in Australia.
- Experience working with Australian Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in VET
- Experience in adult education teaching or vocational training and assessment
- Experience working with PowerPro Student Management System.
- Familiar with Canvas Learning Management System
